mass media

Theis article was called "The risks of electronic communication"
I found it on this webpage- http://www.multicians.org/thvv/emailbad.html

This article is all about how we think electronic communication is so easy and fast, when in reality it can be dangerous and humiliating. By electronic communication the article means emals, IM's, blogging, chat rooms and over the web bulletin boards. This can all be accessable and used by anyone who wants to tamper, watch, or just simply log on. The article warns of what would happen if you post anything sarcastic, angry, emotional, or false. You could even begin to alter your reputation. Basically, what it comes down to, is that anything you ever write, post or blog, can be searched by anyone who wants to read it. This means, that if you attatch your name to something, your job, as example, could read it five years later, and what it says may alter their opinion of you. Maybe you got mad at work, so you entered a chat room, and steamed off some aif that anger. You never know who might mbe watching. As we brought up in class, myspace is a biggie for acting as big brother. When surfing the web and using electronic communication, wtach out what yu say, be careful, because you never know how its saved or interpreted,a s well as who is reading.
